Vermont originally banned cannabis in 1915 but have since seen sense and have legalized both recreational and medical marijuana. They originally decriminalized in 2013 with the passing of bill HB200. Full recreational legalization occurred in 2018 with the passing of bill H 511. The bill passed through the legislature via voice vote and took effect in July 2018.
