Michigan legalized recreational use in 2018 and a decade before that had legalized medical. Recreational passed with a majority vote of 56% and previously, medical passed with 63% of the vote. Good numbers showing the voters were ready for legalization. Recreational was called Proposal 1 with a longer winded name of Regulation and taxation of Marihuana Act. As a side note, I really hate that spelling of marijuana but what can you do.
